In the very heart of Santiago de Compostela, this charming 4-star hotel is a masterful blend of beautiful original features and sophisticated modern comforts and facilities.

The hotel houses 42 rooms spread between two buildings connected by a romantic private garden. The main building is a carefully restored 18th century building, which was once a bank house and formerly a residence of the Jesuits. Today, the building has been sensitively renovated to incorporate high quality modern accommodation and facilities, while retaining the building’s attractive original features. The annexe block also blends modernity and tradition to offer comfortable, luxurious rooms with all the charm of years gone by.

Area information

Just in front of the main façade of the hotel stands the monumental Old Market of the city, and from its back façade magnificent views of the emblematic "Convent of Belvís" and "Seminario Menor" (built on the 14th century) and the park of the same name can be enjoyed. The Museum "do Pobo Galego" (located in the 17th century Convent of San Domingos de Bonaval. Wide range of popular Galizian folk culture) and its park built on an anciant cementery, and the Museum of Contemporanean Art are 200 mts far.
The Cathedral and their four monumental squares are hardy 5 minutes walking from the hotel.

The hotel was very impressive. Beautiful senery, wonderful rooms, cheap restaurant for hotel guests, very very outgoing staff...aimed to please 125%...we were very excited about the hotel and in general had a very pleasant, relaxing time. The hotel was very close to all the main attractions in Santiago, bars nearby, something for everyone. The room was romantic and we felt we were very spoiled!

Only very positive comments to leave about this hotel and staff.

having a galeria/covered balcony made this hotel for us and I also loved the art nouveau and older style woodwork around the hotel. The meats and cheeses at breakfast were the tastiest we had anywhere in Spain

carrying our heavy bags uphill from the parking as there was nowhere to pull up right outside the hotel

It is centrally located so very convenient for bars, restaurants and transport. Excellent restaurant in the hotel and good breakfasts

The hotel itself had a quiet ambience but outside it was noisy at night.and well into the early hours. - traffic on the busy main road outside, very noisy students revelling in local bars until 4.00 a.m. and then the market opposite setting up . Didn't manage to get much sleep! I am aware that these are all factors outside the hotel's control but they did affect our stay.

Breakfasts good; also free internet. Convenient location. Nice garden, though as it rained almost all the time during our visit, we didn't sit in it.

Very poor sound-proofing between rooms. Unimpressed with receptionist who checked us in, as she kept us standing for 10 minutes without looking up. She then apologised. Other staff ok.

The building is old and maze like. It fit in great with the old part of town. It was rainy during our visit but the hotel had a cozy warm feeling. The garden was nice too.

The central situation and the decor throughout the hotel. The grounds were very very pretty.

Yes, the restaurant, food, service and atmosphere were awful. My husband couldn't eat is main course as the octopus was so tough. The replacement main course was just as bad. All reported to hotel.

Beleza do hotel, conforto das camas, simpatia dos funcionários.

Não tem qualidade de 4 estrelas e nem as tem, como indica o Booking.com, levando os clientes a um engano, pois é só de 3 estrelas.A comida no hotel é horrível.ouve-se tudo de uns quartos para os outros, mesmo falando baixo.
